Student Ministries
The Student Ministries are for those in grades 7-12
Youth Group is on Wednesday nights 7:00 - 9:00 P.M.
at Wellspring Church.
During July, we still meet on Wednesday nights, but at Walnut Hill Park (near the Tennis Courts), from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm. Rainy days we will meet at "The Space."
Philosophy of Ministry: “Relationships Transform Lives.” The purpose of the Youth Ministry is to call students into a deeper walk with God.
In Genesis 1:26 we read that God says, “Let us make man in our own image.” In that verse we see God’s relationship with himself, and his desire not only for relationship with his creation, but to also have good relationships reflected in his creation. Our relationships with others are, by design, the greatest influences in our lives. Our desire is to strengthen the positive relationships in student’s lives, thereby building up the positive filters and influences for the countless decisions they face.
Relationships – what we seek to build. We want to see the students develop and deepen their relationships with God, with the youth leaders, and with each other, in order to strengthen their relationships with their families, friends and communities.
Community – what we seek to develop on Wednesday nights. We want to develop relational connections that foster an environment of acceptance and belonging. We seek to do this through “hang time,” game time, worship, teaching, and small group discussion called Life Groups.
Events – ways we seek to expand our community, and enlarge our vision. Those that we host, promote and attend are carefully designed and chosen to create opportunities to strengthen and deepen relationships and community.

Last Wednesday, we had a wonderful testimony from Eric W. Eric shared very clearly the importance that following after Christ has had in his life and how the decision to be "sold out" for God gave clarity, purpose, and direction for him. Eric is an excellent example for our students to follow. Our students were encouraged by and could relate to his journey.
the bad guys in these parables. In chapter 23, Jesus clearly made them out as the hypocrites that they were.
"The Hartford Project" applications will be available tonight. This week long event, focused on bringing the Kingdom of God to the city of Hartford, takes place in June. This event has grown so much, we are splitting it into two separate weeks this summer! Mark your calendars and plan to participate.
As we continue our journey through Matthew, we come across a story that is, at times, a little upsetting to the environmentalists. But first we have to get there.
