Crosscut Ministry has had a very busy year with 7 different projects so far. We have done a lot of painting, installing floors, repairing ceilings, fixing plumbing issues, helping folks move, working with Rebuilding Together & the folks at Mount Pleasant on bigger items & most recently did some much needed repairs on a roof. Things aren't slowing down either.
As busy as the first half of year was, the second half looks even busier! We currently have 9 more projects that we are looking to finish by the end of the year. Everything from roof repairs, painting the outside of someones home, window repairs, installation of a couple of floors & working with 2 different non-profit organizations to help with many repairs & upgrades to their buildings.
The best part of this year of increase is the blessings we have been privileged enough to give to others in need. We might be working on the physical aspects of someones home, but it's the ability of giving hope & showing the love of Jesus which truly makes all the hard work worth it.
Our biggest need right now is volunteers. There's no experience needed in any field....just looking for hearts that want to help out some needy families. Some of the other added advantages of this ministry is the great fellowship we have, good food (yes I feed all volunteers) and in many cases you have the opportunity to learn something new, kinda like on the job training. We have projects scheduled on a regular basis, some small & some big. Some harder then others, but all of them are full of blessings.
