Looking back & forward for Crosscut Ministry
Hello Wellspring!
I hope that everyone’s Christmas and New Year’s Eve was blessed and filled with His presence. The new year always seems to be a time to reflect back and look forward to the new, so I figured I’d share a little about Crosscut in both those areas.
This past year we were able to help 15 different families with everything from gutter repair & helping folks move to installing new water heaters. We also partnered in larger events by working with 'Rebuilding Together' to help a veteran and their family. And, of course, who could forget our efforts at Celebrate Mount Pleasant where we painted murals (a huge one I might add), planted flowers, worked on the baseball field and so, so much more throughout the day. This year was full of challenges and obstacles, but the Lord was right there with us guiding us through and He continues to do so as we go into the new year.
This new year will bring some new changes and challenges to Crosscut. The number of families requesting help is on the rise and this new year will put Crosscut on a busy schedule to say the least. Fortunately, God knew this was coming and has been preparing us for it. Preparations have been in the works since this past summer to organize Crosscut in a way that can handle the high request of families in need. We are always looking for more folks to help for sure, but we are also looking at how to best make a difference in a family’s life. It has never been about the physical work we do on a home, rather it’s showing God’s love to a family or individual that really matters and this will continue to be our focus.
If you are interested in becoming a Team Member we have several needs. Get involved and help a family out by serving in donating your time here or there, donating some extra building materials, or maybe you just have questions on how you can help....let me know, I would be happy answer all your questions.
In the Spirit,
Chris Knapp

ps....you don’t need to know how to swing a hammer to be a part of Crosscut Ministry, only a heart that wants to make an impact.
