A New Life Group Opportunity

For those who have a passion to pray for our nation, we now have a life group that will center on that call. Linda, as explained in the following article, is following through on a call of God. We look forward to not only what this Life Group will do for each other, but the things it will do for our nation. Please consider this opportunity:

2 Chronicles 7:14
This is the Lord’s call to me: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek me face and turn away from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Several years ago the Lord put on my heart to gather His people and pray for the nation. I feel God’s time is now, all is ready.

We all see and know that we as a country are at a crossroads and we are in desperate need of divine intervention. As in Genesis 18:19-22, we see God’s willingness to spare His people even if only 10 (righteous by faith) people show up. I pray that there are many of us willing to commit to make a time in our day every day to humble ourselves before God and pray for our nation.

The Lord gave me a picture of a map of the United States of America. At first, I felt overwhelmed by the size and scope of the map before me. Then He showed me the map which was divided into sections. It helped me see we don’t have to take on the whole country. I can join with others to ask God which section of the country is on His heart for each one of us to pray over, cover, and focus on.

The Lord also revealed to me the first steps in prayer: to confess the ways we have turned from Him and where we made choices that do not honor Him. We must begin by confession and repentance. Next, praise and worship to remember His love and watch care over us. Praise Him, that despite our sin as a nation, we are still on His heart.

He then revealed His heart for restoration of families - mom and dad in unity with the Lord as head of the household. The sanctity of marriage restored. Next, pray for the leadership in government who will seek God for wisdom. Godly men and women who will seek after God as they lead us out of the darkness. Pray revival fire on our land. This is not a formula. If God calls you to pray for the nation, He will lead you too.

The main idea is for all those who are ready to make a commitment, to carve out a piece of time in their day to meet the Lord in prayer for our nation. We can and will see amazing results. We can persevere and push back the darkness and bring the light of Jesus in to every corner of the U.S.A. We can be the epicenter we have been called to be and shake up the U.S.A.
