Rebuilding Together & Wellspring helping needy families

Hello Wellspring!

Spring is here & that means it’s time for Rebuilding Together Day!! On Saturday, April 30th, Rebuilding Together will be making home improvements & moving people’s lives on 15 different homes this year in New Britain & Wellspring will be having a big impact on 1 of those families.

Every year we have the opportunity to take part in this wonderful effort of helping a low income family in need by improving their home. In years past we have literally transformed homes in a single day by painting, planting flowers, replacing appliances, cleaning & doing much needed repairs....& the list goes on & on. The biggest impact though, is in the peoples lives we have helped. It’s about bringing hope & showing how much Jesus loves them. They may feel as though they are forgotten, but we want to let them know they are not.

This year is no different, the family we will be helping has many challenges in their lives, financially, physically & mentally. They are a married couple with 2 older kids, 1 of which died at 19 while serving our country in the Marines. The father is a veteran as well. This home will also be helped by being selected for the “Heros at Home” program from Sears.

So this is what we need......lots of folks to come & help this family. There is something for everyone at this families home. We will be painting, ceiling fixtures, repairing sheet rock, moving a laundry room, removing the wheel chair ramp so a new one can be installed, rubbish removal, lots of yard work, lots of cleaning & much more. There is something for everyone on this day, no experience needed, just the heart to want to help.
