Spiritual Formation - First WSL Class

The first course for the Wellspring School of Leadership, Spiritual Formation, is critically foundational to the Christian journey.  I simply cannot think of a Christian, young or old, who would not benefit greatly from this course.  The good news is, it's available to all.

Spiritual Formation weaves together various elements for the cultivation of a person's spiritual attention.  On the one hand, the course integrates many aspects of the Elijah House material, the foundation of the Bethesda ministry at Wellspring.  Where the Elijah House course focuses its attention on ministry for others, Spiritual Formation addresses the material for personal benefit.  Spiritual Formation asks the questions, How do we perceive God?  How do we build trust in God and others?  How do we forgive?  How can honoring our parents bring life?  How do I connect with the Lord and how do I recognize blocks in that relationship?

On the other hand, Spiritual Formation investigates the classical spiritual disciplines.  The disciplines are practices that have developed in the church over many centuries.  These are regular routines that faithful Christians have practiced for generations that have helped men and women open channels for grace and deeper connections with the Father.  Their implementation have transformed countless lives.

I cannot stress enough just how elemental this course is for leadership, as well as the basic Christian life.  If you have a desire to grow in Christ - and set yourself up for a lifetime of growth - then Spiritual Formation is the ideal path.
