Thank You: Christmas at the Hospital for Special Care

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I just wanted to say thank you from all of us Knapps and especially the children at the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain. Thanks to your generosity we were able to bring many gifts to all the kids & their families on Christmas Day. Another special thank you to all the families that came with us and got the opportunity to play, pray and interact with the children. It was a truly blessed time indeed.

We heard some great news when we arrived, a good amount of the kids got to go home for Christmas Day & even better was that 4 of them went home for good with their families. That's a big praise to God! The children seemed to love having visitors. Many smiled, got dressed up for the day and were able to interact with us. My heart truly goes out to all the kids, but especially for the ones who are unable to communicate. To look into their eyes is an experience that is hard to describe with words and I wouldn’t know where to start, but it is an experience I never forget.

These children still need your prayers throughout the year. We have been seeing a large portion of the kids year after year, in the same beds and never getting to go home, even if it is just for Christmas. Please continue to pray for these children and their families, their doctors and nurses, volunteers and any other folks that have an impact on their lives. May the Lord give them peace, strength, comfort and love in their times of need.
