The Wellspring School of Leadership is Open to All: Accepting Fall Registrations

The Wellspring School of Leadership is preparing to launch into our second school year, beginning August 30, and applications are still being accepted.  You can download yours here.

As I've talked with various people around Wellspring and outside our community, folks are often surprised at the target audience for the school.  The question is, Who are the best candidates for the School of Leadership?  The quick answer is: Just about everyone.

In this past year, several brave souls embarked on the journey with us through our inaugural year.  These students came from all sorts of backgrounds, and each benefited greatly from the experience.  We had a couple students who were perhaps at the very starting lines of their careers.  These young adults had fuzzy sense of their individual calling, at best, and how they fit into God's agenda for the earth.  After nine months with us, however, they freely speak of how much more connected they feel to the Lord and how their purpose is rounding into shape.

Other students this last year were squarely in the middle of their professional lives.  They had many concerns outside the classroom and many demands on their time.  Yet these fine men and women also report having a better understanding of the biblical narrative, how that story continues to today, and how they fit within that tale.  They've told me of their growing sense that they can literally represent God in every aspect of their lives, whether at home or in the workplace.  You can tell that these have been life-changing realizations.

At nearly every stage of life there is an opportunity to engage with the Lord on our very purpose.  How can I better understand who I am in God's Kingdom?  To what assignments is the Lord calling me in this season?  How can I better reflect my Creator in my environment and thereby bring God's Kingdom into my world?  How can I lead in God's name in my job or at home or in the church?

These are the questions that the Wellspring School of Leadership chases.  They are questions that enable us to better step into our God-given destinies at any stage of life.
