Disaster Response- CERT Team

We believe the gospel calls us to bring the love of God to those in need.
Our purpose is be prepared and trained to respond to the physical needs of our communities in times of disaster. Members of the Disaster Response Team are people who are trained and ready to respond as needed.

Many people have training from their occupation or other involvement. We also join with local Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) for training and service in our local communities. To date we have assisted in large-scale response efforts to Hurricane Katrina and the Haiti earthquake, as well as local incidents where we have set up and manned shelters, or lent our assistance to local authorities by praying for their efforts in a crisis.

There are opportunities for anyone interested in join- ing a CERT Team for training and activation. We also welcome trained or certified people to add their names and skills to our list of responders.
