"Several years ago I clearly heard a priority mandate from the Lord: 'Raise up leaders.'  Obviously biblical, clearly strategic.  I knew I was hearing God.  The question then became, 'How to fulfill the mandate?'

The Wellspring School of Leadership (WSL) has been birthed out of that quest.  WSL grows out of the culture of Wellspring Church and has a vision for training and equipping Kingdom leaders.

Truth.  Integrity.  Authority. These are watchwords for the venture and vision of WSL: intentional spiritual formation that forges leaders of integrity; truth-based, rigorous instruction and study;
 immersion in the dynamics of the Kingdom and practical training in how to minister in the ano-
inting of the Spirit."

Truth matters.
  Good leaders know that they cannot make wise decisions without knowing and understanding the facts.  At theWellspring School of Leadership our students learn the biblical principles necessary to lead effectively.  These include a biblical worldview, the way God's Kingdom interacts with our world, and proven skills essential to strong leadership.

It's been said that people don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.  A knowledgeable person might garner temporary respect, but a person of character will earn others' lasting trust.  Students at the Wellspring School of Leadership are paired with mature Christian mentors who exemplify leadership in the Christian community, in their respective careers, and at home.  Through intentional interaction with these mentors and our experienced instructors, our students develop a disciplined life of integrity worth following.

From where does the authority to lead ultimately come?  It comes by the anointing of the Holy Spirit, an anointing available to all, but only activated by those who position themselves to receive it.  Through hands-on experience, mentoring, peer-to-peer interactions, and dynamic classroom instruction, Wellspring School of Leadership students are prepared to exercise the authority given to them wherever they are called.
